In 2005 I had the opportunity to work with the very talented William Wilson and Joshua Sarantitus of Hozhographos Studios, on this ambitious creation in Tucson,AZ known as the Barrio Anita Mural Project or BAMP. This 258’ long sculptural mural consists of concrete,tile,paint and steel. My job on this project was to build a steel mountain range that would mount atop the highway barrier wall. We worked with structural engineers and designed a multi panel wall with expansion joints at all connections to withstand the constant expansion and contraction of the concrete.
